3. Hiding objects

3.1. Hiding Objects

To make your construction neat, well-arranged and readable, sometimes it is advisable to hide auxiliary objects. Hiding the objects does not delete them and you will be able bring them back later.

  1. Hit Show Hidden Objects button (). In Cabri, locate and select Hide/Show item in the menu. You will see all the objects that were hidden in the construction above the dotted line. Hit the button again to hide the lines.

  2. Pres Hide/Show an object button (). In Cabri, if Hide/Show item is selected you don't have to do aything. Point to the object you want to hide and left-click. Hide all auxiliary objects so that the construction looks exactly as the one above the dotted line.

Tutorial - Hiding Objects

Under the dotted line, hide all auxiliary objects so that the construction looks like the one above the dotted line. (Don't forget to hide the line segment.) Observe the button hints and directions in the status line.
Note: No "Well Done" message window will show in this activity.

 


3.2. Displaying hidden objects

If all the auxiliary objects are hidden, try to bring some of them back. Press the button Show Hidden Objects and click on the objects you want to bring back.

Tutorial - Unhiding Objects

Under the dotted line, unhide appropriate objects so that the construction looks exactly as the one above the dotted line.
Note: No "Well Done" message window will show in this activity.
