2. Panning and Zooming

Sometimes objects or intersections you work with fall outside the viewing area. There are two ways to bring them back - panning and zooming.

2.1. Panning

Panning, or moving the whole construction ("paper") so that the objects in question are visible, is done by right-clicking "the paper" (empty white area, avoid objects), holding down the right mouse button and moving the cursor.

Tutorial - Panning and Zooming

The line l and circle c intersect at point P, which is hidden far behind the upper edge of the picture. Move the whole construction down so that the point P becomes visible.
Note: No "Well Done" message window will show in this activity.

2.2. Zooming

If we need to see ALL the intersections in the picture at once, we must ZOOM out. To ZOOM OUT, press - (minus) key while keeping mouse cursor in the viewing area. To ZOOM IN, press + (plus) key. The same operations can be done by using mouse SCROLL WHEEL. Keep in mind that the mouse cursor must be active in the applet window (viewing area).

Zoom and Pan the picture above so that all intersections are visible and the construction is neatly centered in the picture.
